Japanese Language Certification
J-CERT
SilverPeak is the exclusive and sole partner for conducting “J-cert Certificate of Japanese as a Foreign Language for Living, Business and Professionals” in India. J-Cert is a Japanese language Proficiency Test by the “Japan International Human capital Development Organization (JIHDO)”. J-cert was earlier called GNK Life and Proficiency Japanese Test.
J-cert test is carried out to test the language proficiency of non-native speakers to certify their abilities in the fields of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. J-cert is a unique test focusing on Japanese society and culture. J-cert is a qualification to help studying abroad and finding employment to Japan. Not only the Japanese Language ability, this exam addresses the knowledge of Japanese culture and the understanding of customs necessary to live in Japan. There is no age limit or basic qualification necessary to take up the test.
We recommend this test to gain the ability to communicate in Japanese in a wide variety of situations, and to work in Japan.
Features of J-cert
It tests ones’ ability to live and work in Japan, along with language skills. J-cert is a test to evaluate and judge a wide range of communication skills required for life in Japan.
The test is recognised world over. For Japanese immigration procedures, these test results function as proof of Japanese proficiency.
J-certis for everyone, be it a student, business man or professionals, any interested candidate can take up the exam. The levels range from A1 to C2 from least to most difficult.
J-cert levels:
J-cert follows the “European Common Reference Framework” for evaluation of the Japanese Language skills. J-cert has three stages of certification
A: “Language user at the basic stage”
B: “Independent language user”
C: “Expert language user”
Each stage is further divided into 2 grades and is a certification with score of 6 grades.

Japanese Career Eligibility Test (JCET) for Engineers
JCET
Engineers seeking careers in Japan will have to undertake the Japanese career Eligibility Test. This test will be administered at your college. The process involves a written test and an Interview. The test is for duration of 2 hours and contains 120 questions. The test comprises of the following components – Aptitude Test, Test of General Awareness (partly related to Japan), Test of English Knowledge and Test of IT Knowledge (basic IT knowledge)
Eligibility: Any Engineer in their final year or s/he who has completed Engineering is eligible to take the test. There is no fee for attempting the exam. A student who has attempted the exam cannot re-attempt within 6 months of the first attempt.

CAREGIVER TRAINING PROGRAM
With an average age of 46.9 years and over 33% of population above 60 years, Japan comprises a rapidly greying population. Increasing rate of elderly people are joining old age homes and nursing care centres, as their own families members face difficulty in taking care of them. Persons licensed to look after the elderly people are called Caregivers and Caregiver Training Programme is a vocational training program. Attending to the elderly people needs with timely support, providing complete professional care is what a caregiver is expected to deliver. According to Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare an estimated 500,000 caregivers will be needed in Japan by 2018.
Eligibility for the programme
Anyone with a minimum 12 years of basic education in any stream is eligible first to join the 1.5 year to 2.0 yearsJapanese Language Program with a guaranteed part-time job after 90 days of arrival in Japan. Once s/he completes the required Japanese language program and is able to clear Japanese language N3 (from level 5 to level 1), such persons are eligible to join a caregiver program. Preference is given to female students and preferred age must be between 18 to 26 years of age at the time of joining the Japanese Language Program.
